This game is factorio's base building meets Dominions' auto combat system. Absolute insane combo, never would've seen it coming.
I do like the idea of constructing your army as the motivation for factory building. Factorio, for comparison, always comes down to building the same research packs. But in this game you could in theory choose your own army composition to build, whether you think a certain unit type is the most interesting or just the easiest to build. (I say in theory because I did not actually progress far enough to check how flexible the army composition was)
If this was ever expanded into a full game, I do think it suffers from being too similar to factorio. The base building is essentially just factorio without all the polish. At a certain point players will ask themselves "Why am I not playing factorio?" and this game would have to make sure they have a suitable answer to that question.
(Honestly this would make a killer Factorio mod)
This game has excellent potential and has a pretty fun gameplay loop, but it does have some slight issues with performance and controls and either an extra zero was added to the copper research or the game introduces automation WAY too late.
Great demo! This is the start of something magical..
